Reverend Michael D. Rogers
Reverend Michael Rogers is a member of the Durham Area Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and National Congress of Christian Education. It is evident in his ministry that God has blessed him with inner strength that allows him to proclaim and do as the word instructs. His strong desire is to reach out to the unsaved people around him with God’s word and prayer of faith.
His involvement in the community includes, but is not limited to, past State Secretary of the Grand order of Odd Fellows in America and a member of the Fair Housing Committee of the NAACP. In 1989, he received the G. H. Watson for his work with teen fathers. Rev. Rogers is the Founder and Executive Director of Faith That Lives Ministries.
Reverend Rogers is a native of Durham, NC, where he resides with his wife, Virginia and their daughter, Shaaya. He was educated in the public school system of Durham, NC and Washington, DC. He is a graduate of Bowie State College and Liberty Theological Seminary. He holds a Masters of Urban Ministries degree from UNC Chapel Hill.
Above all, he loves the Lord. He knows that Jesus Christ is his hope and is serious about feeding and watering the flock of God. He heard the call of God and answered like the Prophet Isaiah who said “I heard the voice of the Lord, who shall I send; who will go for us/then I said, here I am, send me.”
